Mr. Angell comes from a 30-year distinguished background at Chevron Corporation in business finance, business development, strategic planning, and acquisitions and divestitures of multi-million dollar domestic and international businesses. While serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Chevron Land and Development Company he was responsible for acquisition, sale, development and management of the company's $600 Million commercial, industrial and residential real estate portfolio. The Chevron Land and Development Company was liquidated in several segments over a two year period as a result of a divestiture plan managed by Mr. Angell. He also was General Manager of the Business Planning and New Business Development Department of Chevron Chemical Company. While serving as International Vice President of Chevron Chemical International, Ltd., Mr. Angell developed and led the process to divest the Agricultural Chemical Division to interests in Japan, France, Germany, England and Brazil.
Mr. Angell has performed prestigious service within the environmental area, including serving as Chairman of the Board of the Chemical Industry Council of California and Vice-Chairman of the Lawrence Hall of Science Board of Advisors.
Significant affiliations also include Mr. Angell's appointment to the Business School Board of Directors at his Alma Mater, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Angell earned his Juris Doctor degree from San Mateo Law School, is licensed with the California State Bar, admitted to the United States District Court, Northern and Eastern Districts, California, United States Tax Court and a member the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
